Contextual Neighborhood Addition

Set in a quiet, well established neighborhood, KGRW took on the task of adding a large addition to this house. The goal was to add an expansive master suite to the second floor and to reconfigure the separate small rooms of the first floor to connect the front entry and living room into the new, open plan of the dining, kitchen, and family room, all while keeping the front of the residence in scale with the rest of the neighborhood. The result was a beautiful contextual addition with minimal impact to the street front adding almost 1,000 square feet including 3 bedrooms and 2 Baths on the second floor.
